To understand where we even start to produce ideas to design a show home, we have to understand the development itself, who its target audience is and its location. These may seem like pretty obvious points however, the interior décor has to match the brief. Understanding the location will also guide us to understanding the target audience of buyers that will be looking to purchase in that specific area, for that specific type of property. Understanding the development itself is also incredibly key- whether it is a house or an apartment, its facilities, the layout, and the specification. Usually, this is quite a simple starting point for us as we work with developers from the moment they acquire the land, to the moment they complete on the build and subsequently complete on plot sales therefore, we are already on the journey with them.
It’s then about creating a mood board of interior design ideas that reflect all the above information. These will include furniture styles, colour schemes, patterns, and accessories. This is then presented to the client, where we will discuss in detail until we have something the client is happy to go ahead with. Once everything has been agreed and timescales are discussed we go ahead and curate an order which will then be installed and styled by us. The finished show home will not get photographed or viewed by any prospective buyers until the developer is happy with everything.
